Remembering 9-11
I remember well the morning of 9-11-2001.  As I watched the events unfolding on TV, I was filled with many emotions... horror, shock, grief, fear... and anger.  Who did this?  Why?  What will happen next?  I am sure that many of you also felt the same way.

I also had a personal reason to be scared and angry.  My brother is a pilot with United Airlines and during those first few hours, I did not know where he was.  Since he lives on the west coast, I waited until 8 a.m. his time to call.  You can imagine my relief when his wife told me he was sleeping.  As I explained what was going on, she kept saying things like, "No... You're kidding... NO!"  After turning on their TV, she realized it was all too true.

In the days that followed, I received many emails with pictures of the devastation.  As a way of dealing with my emotions, I used the pictures to make a little video using the music from a song that a friend of mine wrote... it just seemed to fit.  When my friend saw the video, he did a little editing and the link below will let you see what we produced.

As the anniversary of 9-11 approaches, it amazes me that there are those who would question the presence of our troops overseas.  I do not question it - I support it -wholeheartedly.  I do not want to see another tragedy like the one that happened on that horrible day in 2001.  It is my hope that this video will cause others to remember why our troops are fighting... after all, this is what it is really all about.
"When The Angels Cry"
(Remembering 9-11-2001)
I would like to thank Tom Atchison for his editing of the video and especially for allowing me to use his song in it.  Tom's band "AngelReign" is no longer together.  He is now in a new band called "Mean Streak".

Lastly, the song sounds much, much better on CD and the video is much clearer in the original file, but I had to make the file smaller to get it on the website (sorry Tom - it has a 5 MB limit for file size).
